Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, former supermodel and film maker. Alongside her stunning elegance, her continued successes in the film industry proves her skills as an actor. In the late 1970s, she began her modeling career. She quickly established herself as one of the top figures in this industry. In the next decade she studied the arts and performed prior to appearing on stage at Los Angeles and elsewhere in California. Russo was first seen on screen in ABCs drama show Sable in 1987 portraying the role of Eden Kendell. The first film she acted in, Major League was released just two years after. Russo portrayed Tom Berengers 'love interest. Although she was initially skeptical of her abilities in the field of acting, reviewers were enthralled because of her tenacity. The critics loved her most in the film Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak where she held her ground against Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. She claims that she was never a fan in acting. Rose Namajunas was one of UFC's top female athletes. She began her professional career as an amateur athlete, performing various regional competitions prior to signing with Invicta Fighting Championships. And then she joined Ultimate Fighting Championships. Her success in and out from the Octagon have made her famous since she joined the UFC. Namajunas is a Lithuanian immigrant who was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on the 29th of June, 1992. Rose played basketball and kickboxing as she grew into a young woman. At 18 years old she made her professional debut for Invicta Fighting Championships in which she won two fights by submission. The fights caught the eye to Dana White who signed her to be a part of the UFC Strawweight at the age of 22 years old. Throughout Rose s career she has gone through periods of both the highs and lows with each time coming out on top. Rose took on Carla Esparza in April 2015 in the Women's Strawweight Title. She won the fight through a technical knockout, which occurred within three minutes in the initial round. This was the first women to compete in a title fight with any of the major promotions in the world. Namajunas kept winning more victories, including two wins over Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her Best Performance of the Night award from UFC.
